“I have designed a sculpture, an open form which crosses and can be crossed, enveloping its surroundings like a mirror. The location, the landscape and natural setting, flow in and out; like on a film screen, everything moves with the onlookers’ movements: the motorists. It is […] correlated to passing time, taken not just as the changing days and seasons or everyday traffic but as a way of underlining a transition, the end and beginning of a period of time and space; the space in which we all live out our daily lives.”

Equilibrio Sospeso – stalen kader gelegen op het Europa rondpunt, aan de Vorsterielaan in Watermaal-Bosvoorde (België) (1998). Dit “vierkant in het bos” werd beschadigd bij een verkeersongeval op 14 februari 2007, maar een identieke kopie werd gemaakt en ingehuldigd op woensdag 12 december 2007.
